The collection this year is for the Light Project in Peterborough which helps homeless people facing challenging circumstances. Tinned foods (baked beans, spaghetti, soup, fruit etc) and cereals and porridge are particularly requested as are jams and marmalade, and people are very welcome to drop these off in the church on Saturday at any time between 9am and 5pm.
The harvest festival service will be at 6pm on Sunday the 8th. The CEO of the Light Project will be speaking at the service about the work they do in Peterborough.
